CTCS After-School Monthly Themes & Virtues

Monthly Themes:

Themes are chosen to reflect the interests of the students, but also reflecting things important to the time of year or to some other special event that may be taking place during that month.

Virtues:

Character Focus

Part of the after-school program includes character building. This character building takes form in daily modeling and the interaction of the after-school staff with students.   The focus upon character-building coincides with the scheduled chapel character trait of the week. Students are recognized  for exemplifying the character trait of the week within the setting of the After-School Program. For example, if the character trait of the week is “gratitude,” students who say a sincere “thank you” to peers and group leaders may be recognized for the example they set.
