Admissions Process

Step 1:
Read carefully through information and registration materials noting any questions you may have.

Step 2:
Call or email the school office to make an appointment for a tour (619)232-3794 or office@citytree.org

Step 3:
Fill out the application and registration information and return them to the school office with any additional requirements outlined below.

Preschool (ages 2-5):
Elementary (K-5th grades):
  • Registration Fee (click here to see the Fee Schedule)
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of immunization record with all immunizations up to date
  • Copy of most recent report cards (the last 2 years if applicable)
  • Copies of relevant previous testing, i.e. SAT 10 (last 2 years if applicable)
Middle School (6th-8th grades):
  • Registration Fee (click here to see the Fee Schedule)
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of immunization record with all immunizations up to date
  • Copies of most recent report cards (last 2 years)
  • Copies of relevant previous testing, i.e. SAT 10 (last 2 years)
  • Middle School Student Response completed by the student (included in registration packet)

Step 4:
Upon City Tree’s receipt of these materials —

  • Preschool families- A classroom visit will be scheduled.
  • K-5 students- Entrance test and family appointment will be scheduled.(a non-refundable fee of $50 due at the time of testing.)
  • 6th-8th grade students- Entrance test, family appointment, and student interview will be scheduled. (a non-refundable fee of $50 is due at the time of testing.)

Step 5:
All families will be notified as soon as possible of the school’s admission decision. This is most typically a verbal notification given at the time of meeting with administration. Registration is refundable when admission is denied by CTCS.
