Purpose of PTO: The purpose of City Tree Christian School (CTCS) Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is to promote open communication and understanding between parents and CTCS staff. The PTO performs activities that enhance and maximize the education of every child while aiding them in achieving their highest potential academically, socially, and spiritually (click here for PTO sponsored programs/activities). The PTO assists teachers in classroom settings, facilitate fundraisers for supplemental educational materials and experiences, support school and family social interaction, and provide a non-biased forum for sharing information on issues that impact our children.
Importance of Parent Involvement: Parent involvement in the PTO is vital to ensure your voice is heard and that you are actively engaged in what is going on in the school environment. Your input and participation is a key component to designing school infrastructure, introducing new programs, and for the enhancement of the education of your children.
Who Benefits: The school, parents and most of all the students benefit. Research has shown that parent involvement is an integral part of the success of a child in school. Parent participation is one key cornerstone for a strong school foundation.
The first meeting of the year is Thursday, September 24, 2015. Generally meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month but please check the calendar to confirm. We look forward to working with you as we strive to build a positive and nurturing school environment for our children to grow and succeed.
